0481148702 2014-10-27 Production Wells No Violations Upon inspection, it was observed that the brine disposal pit has been pumped down and the soil has been mixed with lime, seeded, and mulched. The containment dike has been rebuilt around the 100 bbl tank and is now SPCC compliant. The drain line from the knockout tank has been removed and the bung has been plugged. All produced fluids are now directed into the production tank. The area around the well head has been cleaned up and re-seeded/mulched. I will continue to monitor this location for vegetation growth before writing off notice. This inspection also serves as a status check for a water well complaint from the landowner.

- not sure if landowner using gas. MIKE - give permit no., add to bond.

1413890746 2014-10-20 Production Wells Violations Noted Performed an inspection on this well in response to a landowner complaint. Upon inspection, it was observed that this well is capable of production and has been pumped recently. The well consists of a pumping unit stanidng over 6.625 casing, 2 production tubing, and .75 gas escape tubing. The poly line on the .75 gas escape line is tied into the 2 production line which runs to the tank battery. There is a 1 poly line on the 6.625 casing which runs to a 55 gallon drum located near the well head. The tank battery consists of a 100 bbl production tank and a small knockout tank which drains brine into an open pit in the containment dike. This open pit has breached the containment dike wall and flows downhill from the source area, resulting in vegetation kill. Produced brine may not be disposed of in this manner. All produced fluids must be redirected into the production tank. A field sample was taken of the brine in the open pit and the sample maxed out a high range Quantab nearly immediately. This indicates a chloride level above 6000 ppm. Recommended steps to reach compliance are as follows; 1.) Redirect all produced fluids into the production tank. 2.) Use a vac-truck to empty the brine disposal pit and properly dispose of brine. 3.) Rebuild tank dike to meet SPCC standards and remediate affected kill area. 4.) Post complete identification information at the well head as well as the tank battery. Sanbar Oil & Gas Co. will have 14 days upon receipt of this notice to reach compliance.
1479539326 2015-04-14 Production Wells No Violations Upon inspection, it was observed that the brine discharge line has been removed and the operator is now hauling all produced brine. The brine kill area is still having trouble growing vegetation and a brine odor is still present around the tank battery. In addition, the kill area around the well head area is still void of vegetation. I will contact Sandbar O&G and instruct them to apply lime and fertilizer to the soil and re-seed it to better encourage growth. Cannot close notice at this time.
