0000PL2554 Preliminary Restoration No Violations Preliminary Restoration done information from Data Point
0293866716 2012-05-25 Production Wells No Violations I returned to the Regula Pond where the clean up of oil on and around the pond is underway. I met the clean up crew of Greg Wood and Bob Smith on site. The excavated repair site where the 2 inch production line had a previous leaked has not collected any oil. It was closed in and the area we trenched was filled in and closed. The 2nd side of the stream, where the oil entered the pond, had the contaminated soil removed and clean fill put back in its place. The booms are to remain a week or so after the clean up is completed to be sure that all of the oil has been collected. DNR Inspector Grimm will advise when to remove the booms and also approve the final grading.
0332480232 2018-07-16 Production Wells No Violations Upon arrival on location, I witnessed the well was equipped with 4.5 inch diameter casing, 2.375 inch diameter tubing, rods, and a pumping unit operated with a natural gas motor. The well was shut in at the time of the inspection. Production equipment included a steel 210 barrel tanks, a horizonal separator, and a plastic 50 barrel tank within an earthen dike. The production equipment was being shared with the Wood (4448). The production report was up to date and proper identification was in place.
0744169329 2012-05-24 Production Wells No Violations I met Greg Wood and Bob Smith (Smith Trenching and Excavating) and began the clean up. The first thing done was to dig up the gas line where it had been repaired several months ago. After excavating to the previous repair section I conducted a pressure test of the 2 inch steel production line. The line held pressure with no decline. This excavated section was left open to see if any oil collected overnight. Smith excavating also dug along the production line, 40 toward the pond, to see if a point of entry could be established for the oil into the pond. No pathway was discovered. Two (2) floating oil booms were installed along the stream end of the pond, just past the cattails and tall grass. The total length of each boom was around 200. Clean up of the oil contaminated soil was started, with one single axle dump truck load removed to Kimble Landfill. Clean up will continue on Friday.
2134514054 2012-05-23 Production Wells No Violations I met with DNR Inspector Barry Grimm to review an oil spill on the Regula Pond. Clean-up activities are scheduled to begin on 5/24 and I will be in charge of clean-up activities during his absence.
