Range Resources was responding at the time of the call. I inspected the site on 10-9-09 and met with Range Resources personnel (Dave Cumberledge). The sight glass on the separator unit was broken which resulted in a misting release of approximately 10 gallons of oil and gas on the ground. The release has been scraped up and removed and new fill material has been placed and graded. New material was being added to the tank battery dike at the time of my inspection. No waterways were affected by the release which sprayed 10 feet beyond the north side of the tank battery dike. The EPA was notified by Range Resources. The release has been remediated. |

I arrive on location and met the pumper who had finished securing the well gate with a new lock. The tank battery gates are locked and secured. The complainant chose to remain anonymous. I updated the complaint log and I am recommending the complaint #5978 be closed. |
