0559046190 2004-07-29 Production Wells Violations Noted Spoke to Mr. Younkers on site. Tank that was leaking brine has been removed from site. Contaminated soil has been removed and placed at the back of the farm field where landowner will treat using bio-remediation. Stone was brought into well site to replace soil. Sign is posted on oil tank. Well is not in operation since the brine tank has not yet been replaced. Be sure to have brine tank in place before resuming well operation and have brine picked up and disposed by a licensed brine hauler. The property is in the process of being transferred to Mr. Younkers son. When that is completed the proper forms and financial requirements will be submitted to ODNR for a well permit.

Steel laydown oil tank and plastic brine tank with wooden stairs and platform. Steady drip from bottom plug in brine tank. Called operator who was on site in ten minutes to tighten plug and stop leak. ID posted.
1087934869 2004-05-27 Production Wells No Violations Inspection with Jeff Fry. Well was found while inspecting another well (34-143-2-0241-0000) on the property. The well is being produced and is not permitted. Spoke to landowner Tim Younker on site. He admitted that he is producing the well. Oil is being picked up by Nieset and gas is being used to heat home. An old truck tanker was being used to pump oil/saltwater into, then the oil was transferred to 2 smaller tanks for oil collection. The truck tanker was and has been leaking salt water on the ground. There was also oil on the ground around the wellhead and storage tanks. Mr. Younkers said he would replace tanks, clean up oil and saltwater areas and submit application for permit. Gave Mr. Younkers application forms.
