1271403288 2009-05-19 Administrative Inspection No Violations Called Mr. Gary Hopkins at 2:37PM, 614-882-8533, in regards to his wells in Tar Hollow, Ross County. He states that he spoke with Columbia Gas Engineer yesterday. He was informed that this gentlemen could most likely push the waiver through if he sold none or very little gas in the summer time. The C18 Columbia line is a closed line routed to only Chillicothe. There would be a potential problem with re-lighting. Mr. Hopkins states that he received a new waiver format and has already re-submitted. Mr. Hopkins expressed interest in drilling. Further stating that he has not heard from the BLM lately, but they have renewed his drilling for 2 more years.

At that time I did not cite violations on not reporting production for this well from 2003 to 2012 . There has been no changes made at the site other than keeping the weeds down. I called the operator, Gary Hopkins, about this situation. He has assured me that he is finally close to a deal to allow him to produce the gas from this well. Because of the lack of production over a long period of time the operator shall place this well on temporary inactive status until a deal is consummated to produce gas and oil from this well or plug the well according to 1501:NONE/1509:.062A.

1472658406 2016-08-31 Plug / Plug Back No Violations Huffman and Bowers added 4 bags of bentonite to bring the weight of the water up. 80 barrels of brine water was used to pump into the casing to kill the gas pressure. The contractor pulled on joint of tubing when the fluid in the tubing became pressurized. I hose was connected to the tubing and flowed into a tank to prevent the brine from contaminating the ground. 2.875 tubing was pulled. Bottom hole plug will be set on 9-1-2016.

1473694980 2016-09-12 Plug / Plug Back No Violations Huffman and Bowers tagged the bottom of surface plug at 1938. The should have been at 1838. They ran a 40 sack plug from 1938 to 1847. The surface plug was set from 100 to 30 below grade.
1507995766 2008-11-05 Administrative Inspection No Violations Mr. Gary Hopkins returned telephone call regarding status of wells located in Tar Hollow State Forest. Mr. Hopkins states that a week from Friday we will know if he can tie into a Columbias line. Mr. Hopkins has been speaking with Gas Quality Control about nitrogen content- they have filed a waiver request to accept his gas which contains 9-11% nitrogen. The Columbia line runs 6 miles north of wells and crosses ST RTE 327. He will contact me and should know something by end of the month.
1522881650 2008-02-13 Administrative Inspection No Violations An administrative inspection revealed that Mr. Hopkins is working on trying to sell gas to Columbia. He states that the problem is the nitrogen content in the gas. Columbia will not sign a waiver to accept this gas. In addition, Mr. Hopkins states that it took 3 months for Columbia to obtain gas samples. He plans to talk with another individual at Columbia regarding the waiver. There are two options if this waiver is not signed. Mr. Hopkins states that his first option would be to acquire a PSA unit to remove the excess nitrogen. The second option would be a cryogenic unit located near the well site however, this unit requires too much gas to operate.

I contacted Gary Hopkins of Hopco Resources and explained to him that this well needs to be either put into production or plugged within the next 60 days.
