1110192487 2017-11-29 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations I received a call from the landowner, Dan Strimple, inquiring about the status of this Clinton Sandstone well. He said the well had not produced in years and he has been unable to contact the well owner, Pine Top Incorporated. He said there are issues (leaks) with the domestic supply to the home on the property and is concerned about the safety of the supply. I told Dan that the domestic supply is usually the responsibility of the landowner and that I would inspect the well. Records indicate that the well has not had commercial production since the 2001 reporting year. My inspection today found that the wellhead is partially fenced and the wooden man door is off the hinges and lying up against the domestic supply. There is no ID posted at the wellhead. The wellhead consists of 1.5 tubing with a plunger lift system and is equipped with Logic Controls and a motor valve. The valves on the 4.5 production casing and tubing flow lines are closed and the 1.5 Demco gate valve is closed. The well is shut-in. The valve for the domestic tap, on the 4.5 casing port, is open and a one (1) inch supply line if fitted with two (2) regulators and a drip bottle. There are 2-3 minor connection leaks that are audible when standing immediately over the piping of the domestic supply. The tank battery is located 700 south and is accessed off of the driveway at address #8710. The battery is fenced, diked and locked and is inundated by small native trees and brush. The battery contains two (2) 100 barrel tanks, a vertical separator, and the associated meter run. The inlet and outlet valves of the separator are closed and the tanks are empty. The ID sign at the battery is worn and no longer legible for the required information. I spoke with contract pumper Tony Carlisle and he told me that he has been in contact with the landowner and can fix any issues that arise.
