1278465619 2010-06-29 Production Wells No Violations I received an email from Bob Mather at 1019 Naturewood Circle (330-968-4164) requesting a site inspection of this and the Kamburoff well (PN-3044). The two wells are located in The Lakes of Franklin Mills housing development which did not exist when the wells were drilled in the early 1980s. The two wells share a common tank battery. This inspection found that the two wells and the tank battery are in fairly good condition. The two wells are rabbit wells and have wood fencing with locked gates for security and screening. The tank battery has 140 bbl stock tanks and horizontal separators. The tank battery is surrounded by a chain link fence with a locked gate for security. The tank battery also has a board fence on three sides for screening. The only issue with the operation is the location or condition of the identification signage. I contacted Randell Oil and requested that they post identification on the outside of the wood fencing in an area clearly visible from the nearest access point. The company agreed to this request.
1516212167 2018-01-17 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations I received a call from Marianne Hartman at 11:35am concerning Incident #NR01171800001777 related to a reported oil leak in the backyard of 901 Admore Drive in Kent, Ohio. I responded to location at noon and met with Jeff Moore (contractor) and Lt. Craig Peeps (Kent Fire). The area was inspected and there was an oval, oil stained area measuring 4 X 6 and less than five (5) gallons of oil had impacted the ground surface. DOGRM assumed oversight and remediation of the leak at this time. John Davis (Randell Oil) arrived on location to oversee the remedial activities. A mini excavator was brought to location and the impacted soil was scraped up and placed in three (3) forty gallon garbage cans for disposal. The line was exposed 6 below grade, and a clamp was installed to repair the leak. The well was turned back on to pressure test the clamp and the test was successful. The hole was back-filled and they will need to return and repair the drainage tile from the down spouts at the residence which was damaged excavating the hole. Also, the electric dog fence wire was severed during operations and will be need to be repaired. The company will be required to mulch and seed the affected area in the spring. I inspected the wellhead and it is equipped with 2.375 tubing and a plunger lift system. The well is currently shut-in and a gauge on the tubing indicates a pressure of 260psi. The wellhead is fenced and screened with wood fencing. This well produces to a diked and fenced tank battery to the south along Admore Drive. The battery is screened by wooden fencing and evergreens and the man door is locked. The battery is shared by the Lepp #1 (PN#22877) and contains two (2) 100 barrel tanks, one (1) 50 barrel tank, and two (2) horizontal separators. There is a domestic tap in the battery charged at 7psi. The required ID is posted on the fencing.
