0802036260 2005-08-25 Production Wells No Violations BDB Energy is on site pulling rods and tubing in anticipation of plugging and abandoning the well to make way for new residential development.
1101007756 2013-06-20 Administrative Inspection No Violations I researched the area around the reported leak and determined that it was an old flow line left in the ground when this well was plugged in 2005. At that time, there was no development in the immediate vicinity of the well or surface equipment. Examining aerial photos, both pre and post development, it was apparent that the old lease road from the well to the east ran through the northside of the landowners lot to a tank battery to the northwest. I spoke with the landowner and conducted a site inspection. The leak was 90-100 due west of the northwest corner of the home at a latitude of 41.22869 and a logitude of -81.38622 +/- 12ft. I called Wilkes Energy/Gas Acquisition to inform them of the issue and left a message.
1907512639 2013-08-01 Final Restoration No Violations My inspection showed no evidence of the well, tank(s), separator or line associated with this permit number. The area around the well has been graded and vegetation has been re-established. The site is at the back edge of a yard near a shed and boat. The lease road has been removed and vegetation has been re-established. Final restoration passed.
1955690209 2013-06-17 Administrative Inspection No Violations I received a call from Wade Balser (OEPA) about a possible oil leak behind a home at 6322 Highridge Drive in Streetsboro. Wade said there was definitely oil present that had bubbled up out of the ground. He did not think it was much oil, but did not know where it was coming from. I told him I would look into it and let him know what I find. I was in route from ODNR Columbus when I received the call and I notified North Region Supervisor Tom Hill of the possible leak. He said he would have Inspector Kevin Perry go look at the leak. I talked to Kevin later that afternoon and he thought it could be an old plugged and abandoned well leaking. I will research the area for old wells.
