| 1507311811 | 2018-09-04 | Production Wells | No Violations | I was contacted today by Trish Cartmell out of the Zanesville office letting me know she took a phone call from Harley Howdyshell about a well that was plugged on his property years ago. I contacted Harley with the phone number he provided and met him out at his farm. He took me back to the well that was plugged so I could check it. I took GPS coordinates so I could pull up the information about the well when I got back to my truck. When I was at the well I dropped a rock down the well and it hit fluid around 100 feet. I could not tell how far the clay has slid down the hole. After pulling the records up on it from when it was plugged it shows the well was plugged in 2008 with plugging clay. The well is sitting open at this time with the casing at the surface. The casing at the surface is either 10 inch or 8-5/8 diameter casing. Im not sure if the pulled the 8 inch out of the well when it was plugged and I did not have a shovel with me at the time. The company that owned this well at the time it was plugged is no longer in operation. |
