1392300295 2014-02-03 Orphan No Violations This inspection conducted with Oil & Gas Inspectors, Pat Shreve and Chris Grimm revealed an idle well with unknown ownership. The well consisted of a bolted hanger attached to 8.63 outside diameter(OD) drive pipe, and rusted 4.38 (OD) casing equipped with a swage and a valve on top. Both casing measurements were verified with a caliper. Fluid inside the 8.63 casing was frozen and located 6 down from top of the collar. The wellbore was monitored with a gas meter and showed no detection of natural gas. Production lines were not attached to this well and no related tank battery was found on the property. The well was situated on a hillside and within a wooded area. A GPS reading was obtained for a potential entry point. Readings were also noted for two water wells located at a lower elevation and within approximately 200-300 from this well. Both wells were located on non-related properties at the following coordinates: N 39.96397, W -81.80688, and N 39.96413, W -81.80650. The property does contain a Right-of-Way, but tree removal would still be required near the potential entry point and the immediate well area for access.

1921645265 2012-10-23 Orphan No Violations Pat Shreve received a call from landowner James Flesher that there was an idle well on his property with no owner. Upon inspection, found a well with 4.5 casing on clamps with a wellhead - shut in - and 8 5/8 surface casing. RBDMS shows this is an old Keener sand well drilled in 1939 by Atha Oil. This well should not be difficult to plug but access to the well will require going under overhead electric lines and crossing buried phone cable in the road ditch. There is no other equipment other than the casing, rods and tubing in the well and it does not appear to be leaking. Landowners daughter was given ROE and will give to him to complete and return. SEM is 86. Pictures taken.
2127035131 2014-02-03 Orphan No Violations On the day of my inspection I visited the site with Muskingham County Inspector Pat Shreve and Orphan Well Inspector Brent Bear. The exposed casing was callipered at 8.5625 and 4.375. The 4 casing was suspended on a casing hanger, and the 8 casing was open to the atmosphere. The casing was full of fluid that was frozen solid at the time of inspection. There was no gas detected and no signs of leaking fluids.
