0574802642 2014-06-09 Production Wells No Violations Compliance Notice Follow-up -1968354922: Upon inspection, I found that the landowner Dan Miller had cleaned up the area and removed the knockout from the top of the tank. He had also painted one of the tanks and graded the dike location. There is still contamination on the backside of one of the tanks. There is still a 50bbl steel tank downhill from the dike with fluid. I talked to Dan and he stated that there was a hole in the bottom of the knockout. They plan on hooking everything back up once they get rid of all of the fluid from the tanks, and he also plans on scrapping the unpainted tank, the 50bbl tank, and knockout.
0687212563 2016-04-13 Production Wells No Violations Upon my inspection today I found this well be closed in at the valves. I spoke with Bill Greiser on the phone at about 9 AM on 4/18 about this well and all the wells under Noramco. He stated that he has adopted the wells from the state and is currently looking to produce them commercially. He stated he had sent all the paperwork to Columbus for the transfer but had not heard anything since. I told him I would look into it and see if they had received any of it and if not what the next step should be.
1386479210 2014-09-30 Production Wells No Violations Compliance Notice Follow-up -1968354922: There is still contamination on the backside of one of the tanks. There is still a 50bbl steel tank downhill from the dike with fluid. The well is still not in Ron Downings name even though he is currently producing the well.
1395759195 2014-03-25 Production Wells No Violations I met the landowners associate, Dan Miller, out at the tank battery and went over the well and tank battery issues. He has a Brine hauler line up to drain tanks and will also take care of the 55 gallon drums. He owns an excavating company and will rebuild the dike once the replace the one tank. He will also have the landowner, Ron Downing, get an identification posted on the tank. Ron is going to work with me to try and transfer the well over for domestic ownership.
1815074179 2015-01-28 Production Wells No Violations Compliance Notice Follow-up -1968354922: All of the contamination has bee cleaned up from around the tank. Ronald Downing still needs to construct a proper SPCC dike around the two 100 bbl tanks. There is still a steel tank downhill from the battery that is full of waste. The well is still not in Mr Downings name and there he still has not posted any identification. I called and left Mr. Downing a message about the issues.
1968354922 2014-03-13 Production Wells Violations Noted The well is equipped with a pumpjack and a new motor. The stuffing box is leaking and there is thick brine contamination around the base. The valves are open on the tubing, which is connected to a drip and 1 yellow gas line. This line is open and runs down to home off of SR 60. The valves are open on the 4.5 and run back up to tank battery off of Buttermilk Road. There are two 100 bbl tanks, of which one is completely full and leaking brine out of the side through small holes from rust. There is a pool of brine at the back base of the tank. There are 13 small plastic barrels full of brine adjacent to the tanks. There is a separator which has open valves and is connected to a drip by an orange 1 line. It is then split to three other domestic gas lines. The 1 yellow gas line is the only one in use for gas. The other black 1 line runs to a full 50 bbl steel tank just down slope from the tank battery. Operator must be registered and bonded with the state. Operator must repair or replace all faulty equipment and cleanup and properly dispose of all contamination at the wellhead and tank battery. Operator must post proper identification at wellhead and tank battery. The landowner, Rob Downing, stated that he owns the well and the 130 acres. He uses it for domestic gas on his property and stated he will drain the tank and cleanup the contamination right away. He will get the tank replaced or repaired once there is better weather and will contact Columbus in order to have wells transferred into his name as a domestic owner.
