0082435178 2014-03-11 Orphan No Violations I received a verbal request to enter the 3 wells on this 100 acre tract, just outside Chesterhill, OH, into the Orphan Well Program. This request was from Morgan-Schofield LLCs attorney, Christina Smith. She states they are the mineral owners of the property. This day I found this very old well sitting idle and equipped with 1 diameter rods, 2 3/8 diameter tubing, 7.25 diameter casing and 8.625 diameter surface casing. Available well records show this well was drilled in 1953 to a total depth of 485 and shot with 40 quarts of nitroglycerin. These records report that this well was equipped with 20 of 8.25 diameter surface casing and 456 of 5.1875 diameter casing. The wellhead that has 2 ports, one open and one sealed with a plug. There is no petroleum odor or leaks. This well is located approximately o.5 mile off of Crews Lane. Access to this well is on a poorly maintained trail, through thick brush. There were 3 wells that were pumped with scissor units from a central power unit. The power house building is falling down but the power unit is still intact. A 20-30 barrel transfer tank sits near the wells on the ridge. There is a larger tank down off of Crews Lane, at N39.46821, W 81.86155, that may have been used as the stock tank. There is no identification or dike on/around this tank. Pictures taken, SEM is 106.
0586515440 2014-04-08 Administrative Inspection No Violations I spoke with DOGRM Inspector Jake Glascock this day regarding Bob Woodyards ownership of this and 2 other wells. Based on the age and condition of the production equipment on site, it appears that Mr. Woodyard has never produced this well. He did sign a Release to the current mineral owners saying he had a lease and was releasing his rights. Jake will talk with him and question his activity on the lease. Wells cannot go into the Orphan Well Program as this time.
1414445409 2014-10-27 Field Inspected, Well Not Found No Violations This was a landowner inspection request. Max Miller asked me to inspect three wells on his property that were operated at one time by Bob Woodyard. I could not find the wellhead at the RBDMS coordinates, however I did find and old pump on its side which appeared to be part of an old shackle line system. The area was overgrown with vegetation and there was old broken production lines and equipment strewn all over the area. There is an old 100 bbl tank associated with these wells down at the bottom of hill by the road.
