The soil was affected in an area roughly 125 feet long and ranging from 12 to 3 feet in width. Standing water in the area was field tested and found to contain 2434 ppm Chlorides. The affected soils must be removed and disposed of properly. The affected area shall be reseeded, mulched, and steps shall be taken to encourage vegetative cover. The defective drain shall be repaired or replaced so as not to allow the escape of fluids.
0849682379 2012-07-05 Production Wells No Violations Area along bottom of dike has been seeded and mulched. Drain still is allowing a small amount of water to seep past it and out of the dike. I spoke with Mike Alteir and let him know. extension granted to fix the drain.
