1267629877 2010-02-12 Orphan No Violations Received request for orphan referral from Columbus Office. Field inspection revealed no identification. Well site overgrown with brush and vines. Well is equipped with 2 tubing. 2 tubing has a tee on top with two 2 valves attached. One valve is connected to a 2 steel line that goes underground 6 from the well. 5 casing is suspended on a hanger. 10 conductor is exposed 4 above the ground. There were no overhead obstructions above the well or access point. Location is a flat bottom land with scrub brush and small diameter trees varying in size from 3/4 to 10. Photos were taken of well and location. Investigation will continue with Recorder Office research.
1798440573 2017-11-21 Orphan No Violations Orphan well status inspection; this well is associated with Orphan Well Case # 1989-05-053: Upon inspection, it is observed that this well is idle, incapable of production, and is likely orphan. The well consists of 10 diameter surface casing, 6 diameter production casing, and 2.38 production tubing with 2 gate valves, steel flow lines, and various fittings. The destination of the steel flow lines is unknown as the line is buried starting a few feet from the well. The well location is heavily overgrown with brushy vegetation and there is no longer a discernible lease road to the location. The well is not currently leaking gas, oil, or brine, and there is no evidence of it leaking prior to this inspection. There are no tanks or other surface equipment associate with the well. There is a 1.25 diameter plastic flow line running across the location which appears to be associated with another nearby gas well. There are no overhead or buried utilities present that would interfere with a plugging operation. Photos were taken of the location.
