0923864495 2015-03-12 Production Wells No Violations Inspected production well on 03/12/2015 to follow-up on a previously-issued compliance notice (plugging order for non-production). The tank battery consists of 3-100 bbl steel tanks, 1-1,700 gal plastic tank, and 2-horizontal separators located within an earthen dike. The tank battery is used by multiple wells (4); well identification is posted listing all wells utilizing it, however not all permit numbers were listed. The well is a rabbit well, with a gas leak noted around the rabbit hole. A small metal tag with identification information is attached to the wellhead. Jim Vacha (Structure Oil and Gas) indicated that the well was recently sold to MFC Drilling. Jeff Harmon (MFC Drilling) confirmed that the sale is to close by the end of March, and that they intend to clean-up and produce from the well. Therefore a 6-month extension to compliance notice is granted.

Tank battery consists of 3-100 bbl steel tanks, 1-50 bbl plastic tank, and 2-horizontal separators on a gravel pad within an earthen dike. Well identification at the tank battery lists the well as producing into it, but does not list the permit number for this well. The well is a rabbit well; a small, metal tag with the well name, number, and permit number is attached to the wellhead. Bubbling, gurgling, and hissing sounds, as well as an odor of gas was noted at the wellhead. Pat Irwin with Atlas Noble was notified of this issue on 04/16/2014, and was sending a pumper out to check on the well at that time. Research into the production history of the well showed that the well has not produced since 2002, therefore it must be plugged.
