A Ms. Barbara McCowen (330-533-8836) had called and said that gas was leaking or blowing out from wellhead. Her address is 7855 Cedar Park Drive. I arrived at 9:35 AM. I examined the tank battery and the wellhead. I GPSd both the well and the tank battery. I could not smell any gas at either the well or the tank battery. Ms. McCowen stated that the gas leaking happened around 7:30PM on Sunday night, 11/18/07. She had also stated that she called the landowner and he had called Energy Resources of America. There were men out at the tank battery on the Sunday evening. I called Joe Glista and left a message if his pumper would check the well and the tank battery to make sure everything is ok. Joe called back and stated that they went out on Sunday evening to the well. The casing head was loose and blowing out. They tighten up the wellhead. No more leaks. Gave Ms. McCowen the phone number of Energy Resources of America(330-533-5808). The well is a rabbit well. Case resolved. |

She stated that she received a phone call from the residence at 7855 Cedar Park Dr. That the well in her back yard was hissing and that she could smell gas. I called Joe Glista the owner about the compliant call. He said he would be there in 1 hour. I also responded 10:25 am. Joe stated that when he got there he poured water around the packing and tubing there was a very small leak could not hear the hissing he tighten the packing ring and the leak stopped. I also put my gas detector on the well head and did not read any gas readings. The well head is equipped with 1.5 tubing. The well is operated on a timed cycle every 6 hours. I spoke with Joe and he stated that the well would sell gas about 6am. This was about the time they would hear the hissing sound. The tank battery is equipped with one 100 barrel tank and one 25 barrel poly tank and one horizontal separator. I called Barbara McOwen (330-565-2893) and explained to her the operation of the well. Compliant # 5724 can be closed. There is a homeowner hook up on the well but the residence at this location does not receive the gas usage. |
