0034966879 2016-04-28 Orphan No Violations On this site visit the landowner was not available and I had only the rough original sketch to try to locate this well. The original inspection report indicated that this well was encased in a brick lined vault, 3 below grade. Based on the sketch, the suspected location of this well is now under a flower bed. There was no noticable gas odor at time of inspection. I collected 6 photos and GPS coordinates.
0847137174 2016-07-11 Orphan No Violations Visited site this date and met with current landowner Mrs. Lori Berenger. She allowed that the well in question was filled clear to top with cement, over 20 years ago. Well is currently underneath of flower beds and a concrete patio. She further stated that when she bought this property, she inquired as to the possibility of re-opening the well so as to avail herself to the gas that was there and discovered it was cost prohibitive. She showed me where the well was located and allowed there is now, and never has been in her time, an odor of gas or any cause for concern.
1468337941 2016-07-11 Final Restoration No Violations Site meets criteria for final restoration.
1468501322 2016-07-11 Final Restoration No Violations I met with the current landowner and discussed the facts about this well site. The current landowner stated that this well was filled to the top with cement by a contractor hired by the previous landowner, who is now deceased, and there is no plugging report on file. The current landowner has installed flower beds and a small patio over top of the well site and states there has not been any odor of gas. The fact that the well area is now covered with concrete, professionally landscaped and there is no detectable gas odor, FINAL RESTORATION IS APPROVED.
