The vault is over 2 ft deep and access to obtain measurments of the well casing was not possible. The well has a line plumbed into the casing and the valve is closed. There is a 60 ft by 60 ft area of dead grass around the well. The well is situated on the side of a drive in the cemetary. There are no overhead obstructions. |

The well was discovered by cemetery personnel and is comprised of a 6-inch diameter casing, with three-bolt head and associated 1-inch supply line. There is an approximate 100-ft. diameter area of stressed vegetation and dead grass surrounding the well and elevated gas readings noted in and around the well. The wellhead is located in a circular subsurface masonry vault with a cast iron lid. There was detectable gas odor in the vault.. The residual pressure was blown down and the casing lid was removed. A 3-inch diameter bailing device was lowered into the well bore and residual water was bailed from the well bore. A continuous plug consisting of 9-sack grout was top-loaded without problem or incident. |

No other activity is needed and final restoration is complete. |
