Both wells are overgrown with vegetation and surrounded by orange construction fencing that has mostly fallen down or is torn. There is no production equipment associated with this well. |

I called the Cambridge Ohio office for Ascent Resources and was contacted by the production superintendent Adam Pence. I explained that proper identification needed to be placed at the wellheads. I also mentioned that the future of these wells needed to be discussed since 34-081-2-0490 has not produced since 2010 and 34-081-2-0501 has never produced. Adam indicated that he would have identification placed at the wellhead as soon as possible and that he would contact the Ascent corporate office in Oklahoma about the future of the wells. He mentioned that they would most likely be plugging and abandoning them. |
