-39 and NOV-1392385097, I witnessed that production equipment included a 100bbl tank within an earthen dike, a horizontal separator, and a 2 inch meter run with a chart recorder. Valves were in the closed position on the sales line. The well was capable of production and equipped with 4.5 inch casing, 1.5 inch tubing and a plunger lift system logically controlled. 2 of 4 valves were open on the casing and tubing with valves open on the flow line. Production records were current, identification has been corrected and contamination has been cleaned up with issues resolved. | |
1392385097 | 2014-02-14 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | On the day of my inspection, I reviewed the Division of Oil and Gas production records and found them to be current for the years of 2011 and 2012, the well is equipped with an eight and five-eighths inch surface casing with one and seven-eighths inch tubing and gate valve, the gate valve was in the open position. The valve on the one and seven-eighths inch production tubing at the well was in the open position, this line leads into a separator / chart recorder and (1) one-hundred barrel production tank sitting inside a containment dike. The valve was in the closed position at the separator on the production line, but the valve coming out of the separator and into the production tank was in the open position. While standing at the separator, it was observed that the separator had developed a leak and crude oil was lying inside the separator housing. I was unable to estimate the extent of the contamination due to snow cover on and around the well site. The date listed on the chart recorder was February 12, 2014. There was no I.D. posted at the well or at the tank.
The requirements to meet the Division of Oil and Gas standards are as follows: 1.) Properly display identification information at the well and/or tank; 2.) Make repairs on separator to prevent any further contamination and clean up the affected area(s). |
1485959775 | 2017-02-01 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed that production equipment included a 100 barrel tank within an earthen dike, a horizontal separator, a drip, a 2 inch salesmeter with a .75 inch orifice and a chart recorder. The well was capable of production and equipped with 4.5 inch diameter casing, 1.5 inch diameter tubing and a plunger lift system 1 of 2 valves were in the open position on the tubing and 1 of 2 valves were in the open position on the casing supplying the motor valve. Production records were current and identification was present but faded. I contacted Stonebridge Supervisor John Schneider and requested the identification be updated. |
