1394031435 2014-02-21 Production Wells No Violations I inspected the well at the request of the landowner. She indicated that she is looking to sell her house and property and wants to know about the condition of an old well on the property. She reported that shes has used the well in the past for domestic gas, and there is also a service line from Dominion. The well is located in a 30-inch diameter round clay tile vault, 35 feet southwest of the rear, SW corner of the house. There is a round wooden cover. The wellhead is 20-inches below grade. There is a 4-inch diameter vertical casing, with a 1.5-inch nipple supplying domestic service with a gate valve. There is no pressure gauge to assess pressure. The floor of the vault is concrete. No smell of gas or other signs of problems or leakage.
