1999429116 2016-07-19 Production Wells Violations Noted On the day of my inspection I found that the well was being produced with a natural gas powered pumping unit. The engine was intact, the lines were connected and the valves were open. The polished rod showed signs of recent use. There were two 12 inch diameter areas of oil stained soil near the wellhead. The tank battery is shared with permit 7119 and consisted of two separate dikes. The upper dike contained three 100 barrel steel tanks, and the lower dike contained one 100 barrel steel tank. Correct, legible identification was posted at the tank battery. There was no identification posted at the wellhead. The issues that need to be addressed to bring this well into compliance are: remove the oil stained soil and grass around the wellhead; post correct, legible identification at the wellhead. I called Mike Wheeler to go over the compliance issues. He agreed to have everything taken care of within 30 days.
