0201886755 2016-03-30 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I found that the driveway was graded and covered with new gravel. I met landowner Christopher Hill at the site. He said that he was present during the repair and he was very happy with the work. Mr. Hill claimed that Rick Smith repaired the line and buried it more than 24 inched below grade. Smith graded the driveway and spread new gravel. I found no signs that the line was still leaking. This violation is resolved.
0879586773 2016-01-25 Annular Disposal No Violations On the day of my inspection I found that annular disposal was not in use. I found one 100 barrel steel tank for fluid storage.
1458146813 2016-03-16 Production Wells Violations Noted I received a phone call from the landowner Christopher Hill to report a gas leak from the flow line that runs through his property. I met with Mr. Hill at the property and found that the entrance drive to his barn had been roughly excavated in a 20 by 20 area around an exposed section of steel 2 line. There was a small hole dug around the line that was full of water. There was a constant bubbling of natural gas from the pool of water throughout my time at the site. Mr. Hill claimed that the line has been leaking for approximately 10 months. He claimed that he has reported the leak several times, but the leak has never been stopped although HI Smith has attempted to make repairs. The plastic line is buried at a shallow depth under the driveway to the barn, and it is compromised when he drives his tractor over the repair. Mr. Hill claimed that the driveway and line has been in its current state since 3/3/2016, which was the last time anyone was out to address the issue. I called Rick Smith about the complaint. He claimed that he was on vacation and would return on 3/21/16. Rick was aware of the issue and claimed that he would be out to properly repair the leak on 3/22/16. He said that he would repair the leak and bury the line 24 below grade. I suggested that he use steel line in order to avoid future damage.
1809208206 2016-01-25 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I found that the wellhead was equipped with a pumping unit. There was no motor on the unit. The valves on the tubing and casing were open. The tank battery consisted of one 100 barrel tank and one separator. Identification was posted and I found no leaks or spills. The pumping unit, tank battery and lease road were all overgrown with vegetation. I called Rick Smith about the well. He admitted that they havent pumped the well recently, but they sell gas off of it. The production reports are up to date and show gas production.
