1353439178 2017-01-13 Production Wells No Violations The purpose of my inspection was to conduct a status check on well # 2-0978. A review of RBDMS indicates the Owner is current with reporting production. Lease access is through a farm driveway. The well head location is within an agricultural field and remains stable. The identification sign misidentifies this well as the Dye #2 (#2-0977). The 8.625 casing head is below grade. The 4.5 production casing is equipped with an electric powered pump jack. No audible or visual leaks were detected. Production valves were in the open position. The tank battery is shared with wells #2-0977 and #2-0976. The tank battery consisted of one (1) horizontal separator that was located outside of containment, one (1) 210 bbl production, and one (1) buried brine vault. The separator remained in good repair with no audible or visual leaks. A current production chart was in the meter house. An earthen dike was present around the production tank and brine vault. Correct and legible identification for all three wells was present on the tank body. The load line valve was closed and plugged. The drain line valve was closed, locked, and plumbed to the brine vault. The body of the tank remained in good repair with no leaks. The hatch lid was closed. The brine vault remained in good repair with no visible cracks above grade. No evidence of overfilling existed. The fluid level in the vault was near free board level. I called and spoke with contract lease operator Jamie Coursing concerning the fluid level in the vault and correcting the well identification. Mr. Coursing stated that he had the vault scheduled to be emptied and would correct the well head identification sign.
