On 04/02/14 an on site inspection was conducted on the Tuckosh property with regard to reports of several abandoned and leaking oil storage tanks on this property, specifically Parcel #8 south of Pronto Road. This property is being auctioned by Bill Newell, a real estate agent for the landowners, who was present for this inspection.

  1. My inspection found one (1) oil storage tank along Pronto Road, to the west of driveway for address 6172 (Lat/Long 40.44906, -80.97559). There were no apparent oil leaks at this tank site.
  2. I met Mr. Newell at the access road (Lat/Long (40.44708 -80.97559) and then proceeded to the two (2) old oil storage tanks behind a hunters cabin on parcel #8 (Lat/Long (40.44402 , -80.96968). The tank to the west has no visible leaks. The tank to the east appears to have a leak around the base and also some of the fittings. There is a 15 X 40 area of petroleum impact to the southeast of these tanks (Lat/Long 40.44430, -80.96872). The surface gradient is to the southeast towards a marshy area.

There is a portion of what appears to be a 2 diameter flowline visible to the south of these tanks that runs approximately 30 to west and approximately 50 to the east. This line was not traced at this time.
