0070036216 | 2015-12-23 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | I was on location to conduct a preliminary restoration inspection. The well is open flow with a wellhead Christmas tree assembly. Jersey barriers were installed around the wellhead. The well is properly identified with a clear, legibly-marked well identification sign. The tank battery consisted of eight, 400 BBL production tanks and was diked. The tanks are located within a spray-lined and sealed secondary containment. There are e-stops outside the barriers, and the tanks are grounded, and have static dissipators. There is a truck grounding area for trucks collecting condensate and/or produced water. Lightning protection and a windsock are installed on top of the production tanks. Other production equipment on the well pad consisted of:
Jersey barriers are installed around the production equipment. The entire well pad is enclosed with a six-foot high, chain link fence with three-strand barbed wire and the man doors were locked. Along the interior of the chain link fence there is an earthen berm and it was stable. The soil stockpile is well-stabilized with vegetation. Drainage and erosion controls at the pad are in place and functioning. A closed-loop, above-ground drilling pit system was used, so there are no earthen pits requiring closure. The pad has a crushed limestone surface, and is in good repair. The lease road is stable and drivable. Preliminary restoration passed. |
1391502407 | 2014-02-04 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 13 3/8 inch surface casing. My inspection revealed that Patterson Rig # 261 had drilled a 17.5 inch hole to a total depth of 470 feet and ran 455 feet of 13 3/8 inch casing ( 54.5 pounds per foot / inside diameter 12.615 inches ). They installed 5 bowspring centralizers on the casing string (joints 1,2,5,8, and 11). O-TEX cemented the casing with 430 sacks of Class H 2% CaCl, 0.4% C-41P, and 1/4 pound per sack celloflake. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.2 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.25 gallons of mix water per sack. They pumped 92 barrels of cement slurry, 62.5 barrels of displacement (calculated 64 barrels), and there was 21 barrels of cement returns to surface. They bumped the plug at 2:52am with the calculated displacement. They landed the plug 230 PSI and then bumped the pressure up to 810 PSI to conduct the casing test. The casing test was approved. My inspection revealed no violations at this time. NOTE: They had trouble landing the casing; they had to wash the last 10 feet of casing to bottom. |
1391720466 | 2014-02-05 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing. My inspection revealed that Patterson Rig # 261 has drilled a 12 1/4 inch hole to a total depth of 1770 feet and ran 1755 feet of 9 5/8 inch (40 pounds per foot / inside diameter 8.835 inches ). They installed 14 centralizers on the casing string on joints 1,2,5,8,11,14,17,20,23,26,29,32,35, and 38. O-TEX cemented the casing with 650 sacks of Class H with 3% Gypsum, 2% CaCl, 0.8 MC500, 0.4% C41P, and 0.5% C45. The cement had a density of 15.8 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.17 cubic feet per sack, and 5.2 gallons of mix water per sack. O-TEX pumped 135.4 barrels of cement slurry, 127 barrels of displacement, and there was 21 barrels of cement returns. They bumped the plug at 9:40 pm with 850 PSI and then bumped the pressure up to 1502 PSI for the casing test. Casing test was approved, floats held, and 3/4 barrel of flowback when the pressure was released. My inspection revealed no violations at this time. |
