0892599542 | 2009-09-18 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | On site because of a H2S gas complaint. Chris Kimble called me and advised that he had been contacted by the Carroll County EMA ( Tom Cottis) and was advised that there was a leak at the well site. I advised Chris Kimble that I would meet him at the site. I arrived on site and met with Tom Cottis and advised him that the operator has been working on the well in an attempt to plug the well. There was an H2S gas odor along the township road. Gas detectors on site didnt register any readings ( 0 parts per million readings) along the township road and the county road down wind from the well site. I advised the EMA and the local Fire Departments ( Carroll County , Perrysville, and Bowerston ) that even though the odor was offensive that it wasnt a health and safety concern at this time because there was no H2S gas detected at this time. Greg and Chris Kimble arrived on site with other Kimble personel and went to the well site and didnt get any H2S gas readings there either. They also advised the Fire Departments and the EMA that there wasnt any health and safety issues at this time since no H2S gas was detected at this time. |
