1481808625 2015-04-27 Orphan No Violations My inspection was conducted in response to Complaint #5013 initiated by the landowner, Mr. Stocker, requesting that two non productive gas wells on this property be placed into the Orphan Well Program for plugging. Mr. Stocker stated he inherited this property in the 1990s from the Renkos and that the wells were on the property at that time. Mr. Stocker recalls the Renkos had the two gas wells drilled on this property for their own domestic use. Mr. Stocker does not know the age of the wells but thinks they may be 600 feet in depth. Todays inspection of this well shows the well is located in a field 9 feet north of the west end of the barn, approximately 21 feet north of the drive. Mr. Stocker said he had, in the past, occasionally used the well to supply gas for a heater in the barn but hasnt used the well in years. The well has visible 8.67 inch O.D. steel casing. 6.68 inch O.D. steel casing is inside the 8.67 inch O.D. casing. Cement is visible between the 6.68 inch and 8.67 inch casings. A coupler with a rubber gasket connects a piece of 6.1 inch O.D. steel casing to the 6.68 inch O.D. steel casing. A 10 bolt well cap is on the 6.1 inch casing. A hanger is welded both to the coupler and the 8.67 inch casing. A 1.7 inch O.D. steel line comes from a port on the west side of the 6.1 inch steel casing. A pressure gauge showing 70 psi is installed on this line before a valve. A small drip is installed after the valve and the 1.7 inch line connected after the drip enters the ground. There are no records available for this well and this well was not shown on the Divisions well locator or on the O.F.G. maps. The above permit number was assigned for tracking purposes. The second well located on this property is called the Stocker #2 for tracking purposes. These wells will be evaluated by the Orphan well program to determine if they are eligible to be placed into the Orphan Well program.
