0077108851 2019-01-17 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations Status check inspection of this directional, Rose Run Sandstone well pad prior to mobilizing U.S. Energy Rig #9 to location next Tuesday (1/22/19). My inspection found the lease road gated and the lease road and pad in stable condition. There are currently three (3) 300 barrel tanks and a skid steer on the south side of the lease road. The cellar is installed and the blow and working pits have been excavated. The pits are currently full of precipitated freshwater and are forming a thick coating of ice across the tops. I contacted Cary Leshock (U.S. Energy) about the pits and that they will need to have a track hoe break up and remove the ice and pump the water out before the pits can be lined. He is going to contact MFC Drilling about the issue. The topsoil is stockpiled on the east and west sides of the location. The estimated spud date is currently the week of 1/28/19. No violations.
0240479338 2019-02-06 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on location with Inspector Dave Morrison to witness the cementing of the 7 intermediate casing string. U.S. Energy drilled an 8.75 hole to a total depth of 2975 and set 2950 of 20lb/ft. casing in the hole. Petroset Cementing cemented the casing with 31.5 barrels of Class A cement slurry and maintained good circulation throughout the entire job. See cement report for more details on this job. No violations.
0345098190 2019-01-28 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on location with Ashtabula County inspector Dave Morrison to observe rig up and operations prior to spudding this directional, Rose Run Sandstone well. U.S. Energy Rig #9 is spotted over the cellar and rig hands are currently circulating freshwater through heaters and through the western drilling pits to warm the water for drilling operations. The pits are lined and in good condition. The 500 barrel, cement mix water tank is currently being heated through the center tube with a propane torch. I met with MFC Company man Randy Matheny and discussed drilling operations and the casing program. They will spud in with the 20 drive pipe later this afternoon. No violations.
1548880929 2019-01-29 Casing String Witnessed No Violations I was on location with Ashtabula County inspector Dave Morrison to observe drilling operations and witness the setting and cementing of the 13.375 conductor casing in this directional, Rose Run Sandstone well. U.S. Energy Rig #9 drilled a 17.5 open hole to a depth of 125 and ran 112 of 13.375 conductor casing into the hole. Petroset Cementing Service cemented the casing with 31.5 barrels (150 sacks) of Class A cement slurry and circulated 15 barrels of good returns to surface during the job. Rig #9 is going to shut down and resume operations on 2/1/19. There were no violations at this time.
1549983016 2019-02-03 Casing String Witnessed No Violations I was on location to witness the running an cementing of the 9-5/8 surface casing string. U.S Energy Rig #9 ran 19 joints of new, 26lb/ft. casing to a depth of 622 in a 12-1/4 open hole. The casing was set open ended and equipped with four (4) bow-spring centralizers. Petroset Cementing Service cemented the casing with 52.5 barrels of Class A cement slurry. 10 barrels of good cement circulated to surface during the job. No Violations. See casing ticket for more details on this job.
1550067714 2019-02-13 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations U.S. Energy Rig #9 Status check inspection of this directional, Rose Run well pad. At the time of my inspection they were at a total depth of 4700 feet and waiting on directional tool and personal. In previous dates Us energy have drilled done to 100 feet and set 13 5/8 conductor casing and cemented back to surface. Also Drilled approx. 600 feet and set 9 5/8 casing and circulated cement back to surface. Proceeded to too drill down to 2900 feet and set 7-inch casing. There are currently three (3) 300 barrel tanks. In ground pits are still in stable condition. No violations.
1550692745 2019-02-15 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations I was on location to inspect drilling operations. U.S. Energgy Rig #9 has drilled a 6.25 hole to a total measured depth of 5372. They are currently tripping in with a 6.25 PDC bit and directional tools to complete the well and are currently at a depth of 2832. They are going to switch to fluid drilling for the remainder of the well and Haliburton has mixed the drilling mud to a weight of 9.3lbs/gallon. The pits are in good condition and have plenty of freeboard. I discussed drilling operations with the tool pusher and the company man. They expect to cement the production casing late Saturday (2/16) or early Sunday morning (2/17). The blow line from the blow out preventor is chained to jersey barriers and meets the required distance outlined in the permit conditions. No violations.
