Oil and Gas well was plugged on property line in 1960s and could be causing the problem. I ran the water from the water well and collected a sample. No visible sheen present or petroleum odor. I quantabed sample and reading was 0 ppm chlorides. I tested the sample with litmus and readings were 420 hardness,7.4 ph. Water well is used only for livestock watering. The home has Lorain County Rural water. Water sample does not indicate any oil field related contaminates. Plug date is 11-19-1960. I advised Mr. And Mrs. Callahan to call if they notice a change in water in the future. |
