| 2657067 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-19 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | The Department approved a previously approved alternative waste management
practice (OG-71) Form B application on 10-4-17. The previously approved alternative waste management practice authorization number is 1183892, which is in reference to the Cabot Howell OG-71 Form A application approved by the Department on 5/26/17. The request for approval of alternative waste management practices is for residual waste processing which consists of workover fluid pH adjustment and solidification. The application states that as cement fluid, also known as workover fluid is recovered from the wellbore, it is collected in a container and can be mixed with sodium bicarbonate if is too caustic to reduce pH, conveyed into a vacuum truck if fluid enough and transported off-site to an approved treatment/disposal facility as a liquid waste and solidified with sawdust if not fluid enough. The solidified cement will be transferred into a roll-off container in preparation for landfill disposal. See photos. |
