2793716 | Primary Facility | 2018-10-24 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | A routine (pre-plugging) inspection of this Oriskany well was conducted October 24, 2018. The well was originally plugged in 1971 and will be replugged. At the time of inspection, 4 1/2" casing with flange and master valve extends to ground level from the well cellar. Flowback iron and choke downstream of master valve are lined out to gas buster tank, shut in at lo-torq valve. The cellar was full of water; no bubbling observed. There is one 2" annular vent extending above ground level from below water in the cellar with audible bubbling heard in the vent. CT is expected to drillout (0'-200') surface plug in the 4 1/2" as the first phase of re-plugging. |
2799421 | Primary Facility | 2018-11-06 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A routine (plugging) inspection of this well being replugged was conducted November 6, 2018. A 200' cement surface plug has recently been drilled out by coil tubing, who are now off location. At the time of inspection, a rig is on location where they are circulating the well to a tank. I met with the plugging contractor to discuss operations on the pad and tentative procedure moving forward. The have run in the hole and tagged cement plug from initial plugging at 3814'. To diagnose the source of gas they have set a packer above this plug and determined gas is entering the casing above the packer. The packer is released at this time and they are moving forward with pulling tubing to reset the packer at 2487', above previous squeeze perfs in casing at 2516', to confirm whether or not this is where gas is coming in. No obvious major issues were observed during this inspection. |
2805542 | Primary Facility | 2018-11-20 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A routine (plugging) inspection of this well being replugged was conducted November 19, 2018. At the time of inspection, a rig is on location for P&A along with wireline to log the well at this time. I met with the plugging contractor to discuss operations on the pad. Recent wellbore diagnostics revealed that gas is entering casing at squeeze perfs previously in the casing at 2516'. A CBL has reportedly indicated to show good cement above these perfs to surface and poor/no cement below. WL is logging hole today to determine where gas is moving from behind the casing. If gas movement is from depth below where plug was tagged as expected, the contractor plans to clean out the well to below the Tully Formation and perf/squeeze the annulus to cut off the source of the gas. No obvious major issues were observed during this inspection. |
2808111 | Primary Facility | 2018-11-29 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | A routine (re-plugging) inspection of the HW 19 was conducted November 29, 2018. A rig is on location for final plug and abandonment. I spoke with the plugging contractor to discuss operations. Recent logging has seemingly indicated annular gas was coming from depth. The crew is milling existing cement plug, at a depth of 4179', at the time of inspection. The purpose of milling out the existing plug is to make a squeeze attempt below the Tully formation to cut off the annular flow near the source to isolate it from the tophole section. No obvious issues were observed or reported. |
2813523 | Primary Facility | 2018-12-11 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A routine (re-plugging) inspection of the HW 19 was conducted December 11, 2018. At the time of inspection, I met with the plugging consultant to discuss operations on the pad since my last inspection. Since then, the crew finished milling out the cement plug in the production casing from the initial plugging to clean the hole to 4224'. The production casing was previously milled (4216'-4227') during the initial plugging in 1971.
The rig ran in with a packer to isolate the window and confirmed there was gas coming from the window. They have made additional (12) shots (4221'-4223') at this time and intend to run back in with a packer in attempt to establish circulation between these perforations and perforations uphole. If successful, they will attempt a circulation squeeze behind the production casing. No obvious issues were observed during this inspection. |
2819852 | Primary Facility | 2018-12-19 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A workover rig is on location for final (re)-plug and abandonment. At the time of inspection, the rig was circulating fluid out of the hole. I met with the plugging consultant to discuss operations on the pad. They were successful in circulation squeeze attempt behind production casing through perfs at 4223-4221'; pumped 8 bbls of resin total and squeezed. Top of resin is estimated at 3981'. They ran back in the hole with packer and are now circulating behind production through newly shot perfs at 3790' back up to previous perforations at 2583' in preparation for tophole circulation squeeze attempt. They appear to be circulating at a decent rate. No obvious major issues were observed at this time. |
2824293 | Primary Facility | 2019-01-09 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A workover rig is on location for final (re)-plug and abandonment. At the time of inspection, cementers are on location where they have just pumped the final plug and squeeze attempt on this hole. I met with a site supervisor to discuss the operation. Plug inside casing was set at 2625'. Retainer was set at 629'. Cementers pumped 46 bbls and 1000 PSI was held for 15 minutes (existing squeeze perfs are at 2515' from original P&A). Stung out of retainer and washed up w/ FW. The rig is now finishing pulling out of the hole. No issues were observed or reported. |
2832242 | Primary Facility | 2019-01-28 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | The rig and personnel are off location following the final (re)-plug and abandonment of this deep vertical well (observation well for storage field). At the time of inspection, the location was snow covered. Two vent pipes were extending above ground level. The snow surrounding the base of the vents were clean; no evidence of discharge was observed. There was no audible or visible venting observed. There were no open holes, discharges, or bubbling observed. No obvious issues were observed at this time. |
2854189 | Primary Facility | 2019-03-13 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A routine, post-(re)plugging inspection of the replugged storage well was conducted March 13, 2019. A crew is on location for reclamation and vent installation. I met with the plugging consultation to discuss operations. Access to the well was limited due to the cellar being dug out. No visible issues were observed at this time. No obvious issues were observed on location at this time. |
