2608451	Primary Facility	2017-06-28	Compliance Evaluation	No Violations Noted	On Friday, June 16, 2017, I conducted a compliance evaluation inspection at the Whipkey 4H Well Site located in Center Township, Greene County. The inspection was conducted to evaluate remedial activities which were conducted in response to a petroleum release that was discovered and reported to the Department on or about October 24, 2016. As a consequence of the release, a violation of 25 Pa. Code Section 78.57(a) was cited and sent to the operator on November 3, 2016 (inspection no. 2533630, violation no. 771627 and enforcement no. 348422). Penneco Oil Company, Inc. (Penneco) excavated the impacted material which was hauled off-site for disposal. Post-excavation soil samples were collected and submitted for analysis to confirm that remediation was complete. Penneco submitted a remedial action report summarizing the remedial activities conducted and supporting analytical data to the Department for review. The excavation was covered with a poly liner pending the review of their report by the Department
