The site is located in Richhill Twp., Greene County. The inspection was performed in response to an emergency spill related to a fire at the oil holding tank on site report by the operator.
2309181 Primary Facility 2014-09-30 Incident- Response to Accident or Event No Violations Noted WELL OPERATOR WAS USING A SMALL GASOLINE ENGINE PUMP TO PUMP OIL THROUGH A SALES LINE FROM A PRODUCTION TANK ASSOCIATED WITH THIS WELL. AT 10:40 THE PUMP CAUGHT FIRE AND INGNITED THE PRODUCTION TANK. THE PRODUCTION TANK SETS APPROXIMATELY 70 FEET FROM THE WELL. THE WELL RECIEVED NO DAMAGES AS A RESULT OF THE FIRE. WQS WAS ON SITE TO ASSESS ENVIROMENTAL IMPACTS. WELL WAS PROPERLY TAGGED.

The operator has removed the impacted soils and material from the fire and spill on 9/30/2014. The operator has removed the failed oil storage tank and destroyed production equipment and has regraded the area.

The well was in production at time of site inspection. The well was labeled.

Pursuant to Title 58, Section 3222 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, 58 Pa. C.S. § 3222, commonly known as the 2012 Oil and Gas Act (“Act”) and section 78.121 of the Oil and Gas Regulations (“Regulations”), 25 Pa. Code § 78.121, an oil and gas well operator is required to submit a production and status report to the Department for each permitted or registered well on an individual basis. If a well is not producing, operators must still submit a report with a comment as to why the well is not producing. When the production data is not available to the operator on an individual well basis, the operator must report production on the most well-specific basis available.
