August 2, 2016 at approximately 10:00 am. The well was abandoned, unknown operator, and currently holds a DEP plugged status. At the time of inspection there were two casing strings visible at surface, cut at ground level. The outer csg. is 10 ¾”, the inner was 8 5/8”. The 8 5/8” was filled with water with active bubbling at the time of inspection. I detected methane at surface at the time of inspection, 100% LEL approx. 5% methane with an Altair 5x gas meter. The well was I met a nearby landowner who lived across the street. He said he had no water issues and that the well had been plugged. |
