2826989 | Primary Facility | 2019-01-15 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Department representative Sue Herzing conducted a routine site inspection at Dannic Energy Corp conventional well (033-26507) on January 15, 2019. The area surrounding the production equipment has been restored. Restored site appears well vegetated and stable. No signs of E&S issues. There is one poly brine tank stationed onsite that is ~3/4 of the way full of brine fluids. A small spill/release approximately the size of a basketball was observed at the the connector/release valve of the brine tank (photo 3). A field screening for specific conductance was taken in the saturated soil; reading exceeded 4.0 mS/cm (photo 4). The Department recommends that the operator address the remediation of the spill/release in accordance with the small spill policy 800-5000-001. Once remedial work is completed please contact the Department. As you can see from photo 3, the brine tank has been repaired/patched in the past. The Department recommends replacing the brine tank.
