A service rig was rigged up on the well for plugging ops and Appalachian Cementers were on location washing up pump after setting 1st plug in the 4 ½” csg. I met with onsite company rep and cementer to discuss operations, volumes and depths. The rig found bottom at 2003’. First plug calculated to set balanced cmt plug from bottom back to 1673’. Appalachian mixed 28 sks Type 1 cmt, made 5.5 bbls. I calculated TOC inside the 4 ½” at 1659’; rig will tag plug tomorrow morning. Top perfs @ 1963’. Tomorrows plan is to tag plug, run freepoint, shoot & pull 4 ½” and set remaining plugs. No Issues. |

Centre County conducted November 10, 2016 at 11:00 am. The service rig was rigged up on the well and Appalachian’s pump truck was spotted on location. No personnel on location. The 4 ½” csg is still in the hole. I tapped into the 4 1/2” x 2” csg swage w/open valve with my 2” fitting/needle valve rigged up and open to Altair 5x gas meter. No gas in any amount detected at this time. I detected no gas in the annulus between the 4 ½” and 7” casings. I had phone conversation with the driller who runs the plugging rig yesterday and today; after running freepoint it turns out TOC behind the 4 ½” was higher than expected, ~580’. I asked for a cement plug across the 7” casing shoe (inside the 4 ½”) and a plug across the stub at 580’ after shooting and pulling retrievable production casing. Appalachian set that first plug this morning and the crew left location to WOC. Tomorrow they’ll shoot & pull casing, set final balanced cement plug. This well will be thoroughly |
