2530527 Primary Facility 2016-10-19 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Pre-plug inspection of Talisman’s Richards well in Windham twp. Bradford county conducted October 19, 2016 at 12:40 PM. At the time of this inspection; the Richards 1 had a production tree in place, shut-in, not tied into pipeline. Tree top gauge shows 4600 PSI (tubing pressure), wing valve gauge shows 3900 PSI (production casing). The valve for the backside of production csg (“9x5”) annulus was open to 2” and venting. A field reading with an Altair 5x gas meter showed 29% methane. The backside of the intermediate casing (“13 x 9”) was open, rigged up to a fuel tank with a pressure gauge in-line; 0 PSI. Shut in the valve to isolate the annulus to the pressure gauge; no pressure build up, opened back up to fuel tank. To check for gas outside the 13 3/8” I put the gas meter in the cellar; no gas detected at this time. Operator has submitted tentative plans to plug this well for review.
2533169 Primary Facility 2016-11-01 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of Talisman’s Richards well in Windham Twp. Bradford County conducted November 1, 2016 at approximately 1 pm. A workover rig was rigged up on the well for plugging ops. I met with Talisman Companyman Tony Baker to discuss operations on the pad. The rig was on bottom, cleaned up the hole and tagged bottom at ~11650’, depth of 5 ½” prod. csg shoe. No problem pulling the prod. tubing. They’re circulating the hole clean w/ brine. Schlumberger was getting ready to spot in and rig up on location to mix, pump, and spot the first 650’ balanced plug in the 5 ½” production casing from bottom (11650’-11000’) covering perfs in the 5 ½” (11, 438-11462). They’ll mix 74 sks Class H/G, make ~15 bbls. I asked the Companyman to grab a slurry sample to look at next time I pull on location, probably Thursday. They’ll WOC overnight, tag plug, run freepoint to determine TOC on the backside of the 5 ½” and retrieve ~10000 5 ½” prod. casing and continue plugging procedure. No obvious concerns noted.
2534419 Primary Facility 2016-11-03 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of Talisman’s Richards well in Windham Twp. Bradford County conducted November 3, 2016 at approximately 10:30 am. A workover rig was rigged up on the well for plugging ops. I met with Talisman Companyman to discuss operations on the pad since my last visit Tuesday. Schlumberger pumped the bbl cmt plug from bottom back up over the perfs. Lost 15 bbls to the formation after WOC. Schlumberger pump truck on location waiting on bulk, scheduled to pump again. I spoke with Companyman about the idea of setting a bridge plug & cement above perfs if this next plug falls back into the formation. Looked at 2) slurry samples from Tuesday plugs; 16.4ppg, one was hard one was soft, the cement had retarder to avoid flash set with brine in the hole.
2535457 Primary Facility 2016-11-09 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of Talisman’s Richards well in Windham Twp. Bradford County conducted November 9, 2016 at approximately 1:30 pm. A workover rig was rigged up on the well for plugging ops. I met with Talisman Companyman to discuss operations on the pad since my last visit 11/3. Second try at setting bottom balanced cement plug was successful; the rig tagged plug at 10754’ (top perfs were at 11438). Samples looked ok. The rig successfully cut & retrieved production casing at 8920’, below the Medina formation (8870-8693) where logs indicated a significant gas show. They’ll now be able to set the next balanced plug in the stub and plug back through the openhole to isolate that formation (next plug 8970-8470). They’ll pull several joints of tubing and set next balanced plug across the 9 5/8” shoe and go from there. No major concerns or issues.
2537555 Primary Facility 2016-11-15 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of Talisman Richards well plugging 11/5/16. Rig is on location, met with Companyman Tony Baker. Went over operations since my last visit 11/9. Right now; Operator wants to cut 9 5/8” to swap out wellhead for freepoint and stretch test to calc. TOC @ pull csg. but waiting for gas to die down. Operator contacted me since leaving location. Gas hasn’t died down yet so the operator has provided an acceptable course of action. Basically; first conduct CBL run to find if there’s a microannulus.

-If there is microannulus; perf above the Marcellus and try to break circulation w/ brine to circulate gas out of the annulus and proceed with original plan. If circulating brine doesn’t stop gas flow, proceed to squeeze job. If theres a microannulus and can’t break circulation, set 2 sets of perfs, run retainer between and attempt suicide squeeze. -If there is no microannulus indicated on CBL, attempt WellLock suicide squeeze on the backside of 9 5/8” below 13 3/8”. Depths of that operation yet to be discussed

2540328 Primary Facility 2016-11-23 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of Talisman Richards well plugging 11/23/16. Rig is on location, csg crew pulling 9 5/8” csg. Met w/Comanyman Tony Baker to discuss operations. The operator is abandoning plan to do any squeeze work since they were able to break circulation on the backside of the 9 5/8” (~3500’) circulating gas out of the annulus. Well is dead, Casing crew is pulling 9 5/8” from 3525’. Discussed tentative CMT plugs depths. Schlumberger scheduled to pump remaining balanced cement plugs from the 9 5/8” stub, 12 ¼” openhole, up into 13 3/8” csg. Plugs will be Class A, no additives, surface plug will be Schlumberger’s thixotropic blend (SurfaceSet). Asked Companyman have crew grab slurry samples and to notify me prior to cap and cut for final well inspection. No Issues at time of inspection.
2540427 Primary Facility 2016-11-30 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted Inspection of Talisman’s Richards plugged in Windham Twp. Bradford County conducted November 30, 2016 at 12:00 pm. At the time of inspection; I removed the lid on the 13 3/8” casinghead flange. The 13 3/8” casing was full of water about few foot down, with no active bubbling. I leaned in over the cellar and checked inside the 13 3/8” for gas with an Altair 5x gas meter; no gas in any amount was detected. The (13 3/8” x 20”) annulus was full of water; no bubbling, no gas detected. The 13 3/8” casing was loose as noticed by the rig over the weekend after pulling 9 5/8” csg. I had a phone conversation with Tim Budney with regard to this matter on Sunday. They ran a bond long for the 13 3/8” and noted poor cmt bond from surface-130’, and from the 500-shoe (744’). I advised the operator to not pull surface casing from above 130’ as per the regulations as this can cause problems at this depth and emphasized a competent plug across the 13 3/8” casing shoe (844’-644’) as being most important in achieving permanent z
2649496 Primary Facility 2017-10-18 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On October 18, 2017, the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Repsol Oil and Gas USA LLC, Richards 1 OG Well in Windham Township, Bradford County. Andrew Hobbins represented the Department. JL Watts employees were on site working to restore the site to approximate original contours.

The Richards 1 OG Well has been plugged and the site is currently being restored. Compost filter sock was observed to be installed down gradient from the well pad. No erosion or sedimentation issues were observed during the inspection.

No violations were observed during the inspection.
