Inspection Data

Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Category Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
2111784 Primary Facility 2012-10-26 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Well-site had been constructed, drilling had not commenced. Well-site appeared to have been constructed under a previous permit for this location. Silt fencing appeared to have begun to deteriorate. The Department recommends that once the weather clears the operator perform maintenance on the exisitng controls and replace any perimeter controls as neccesary.
2128171 Primary Facility 2013-01-07 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Site construction ahd been completed, drilling had not commenced at the time of the insppection. E&S plan had been implemented as outlined. There was no evidence of accelerated erosion or sedimentation. The Department recommends that the operator closley monitor the access road during well development activites to insure passability and for accelerated erosion and sedimentation issues due to the road construction and current weather conditions.
2131911 Primary Facility 2013-01-18 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Drill rig located onsite, drilling was not ongoing. Drill pit located onsite and it had the required two feet of lined freeboard. A portion of the drill cuttings was observed on the cut slope and the operator should endeavour to have these cuttings placed into the drill pit as soon as possible. Observed no erosion issues with the well-site. Noted that the operator had heavily rocked the construction entrance intersection with SR 2060. It was noted that the access road as it crossed the valley approaching the site had no implemented erosion controls to convey runoff off the road thereby making the road a conduit to concentrate and convey sediment. The operator should closely monitor this road and weather conditions to insure an accelerated erosion issue does not develop.
2159666 Primary Facility 2013-04-10 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Drilling had been completed, well appeared to be equipped for production. Brine tank located onsite and it appeared to be in sound condition. Noted erosion issues had begun to develop with the access road. Specifically the issues had begun to develop with the roadside ditches on either side of the culverted stream crossing. In addition it did not appear that all of the access road eorsion controls had been implemented as outlined in the site E&S plan. The site had been regraded and temporarily stabilized. At this time the Department is requesting that the operator forward documentation outlining when site construction activities began for the 005-30987 C. Kalmar 3. This documentation should be sent to WQS Greg Higgins at the above listed address no later than May 5, 2013
