Below grade pit located onsite and it had more than the required two feet of lined freeboard. Noted that the silt fence or hay bales had not been installed as outlined in the E&S plan rendering, however this BMP was not needed to minimize accelerated erosion and sedimentation on this site. Access road erosion controls were not adequate to effectively minimize accelerated erosion & sedimentation. There was no observed way to effectively collect runoff from the access road and the surrounding area appeared to be a former strip job area that was devoid of vegetation capable of handling the runoff flow. In addition a culvert had been placed under the access road near an UNT (Unamed Tributary) to Pine Run and this culvert had no BMP's to effectively minimize accelerated erosion & sedimentation. The outflow from this culvert flows directly into the UNT to Pine Run without any erosion controls to minimize sediment generation & transport. |
