0041573054 | 2004-07-15 | Production Wells | No Violations | Well should be ready to place back into production after the lightning strike on May 22 destroyed the tank battery. |
0384411245 | 2006-07-25 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | The violations have been corrected. |
0499150393 | 2004-06-10 | Production Wells | No Violations | The damaged 210 has been removed and work is progressing toward getting this well back into production. A small gas leak has appeared at the well head and is probably the result of pressure build-up since the well was shut in on May 22. |
1030879127 | 2004-08-05 | Production Wells | No Violations | CASE 04-022 The well is back into production. |
1086294385 | 2004-05-26 | Production Wells | No Violations | CASE 04-022 On 5/22 at 01:52, during a severe thunderstorm, the Kent Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at 2262 Lake Rockwell Road. The fire was extinguished and the last unit left by 02:40. Kent Fire notified OEPA and Akron Watershed of the incident. The Uniontown office received a call from Jim Erwin (330-789-9281) with OEPA on 5/26 reporting a lightning strike and possible oil spill at a tank battery operated by Beck Energy. The well involved is the Granc #1, P/N 133-2699. The tank battery consisted of one 210 bbl tank, two underground concrete vaults and one horizontal separator. The 210 bbl tank was struck by lightning, which vaporized the contents and sent the tank 435 feet to the east northeast. There was no evidence of a spill where the tank landed nor was there any affectment between the tank battery and the landing zone. The resultant fire consumed a majority of the liquids initially released at the tank battery. Becks initial response on 5/22 was to shut the well in and start containing any residual liquids with sawdust. The damaged equipment and affected soil will be removed and disposed. |
1089739090 | 2004-06-28 | Production Wells | No Violations | The tank battery has been replaced and the damaged 210 bbl tank has been removed. The affected area still needs to be seeded. |
1122986351 | 2005-07-21 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | CASE 05-019 The Uniontown office received a call from Tim Harrod (330-815-1474) at 2262 Lake Rockwell Road reporting a gas leak at the wellhead that has gotten progressively worse. The leak is at the tubing head and around the tubing collar. I contacted Beck and told them to repair the leak. |
1262791514 | 2004-06-02 | Production Wells | No Violations | Status check at the site of a lightning strike. The site is being cleaned up and the tank battery will be put back together with a 140 bbl stock tank. The damaged 210 bbl is still on site. |
2091057787 | 2005-08-01 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | The wellhead has been painted and the gas leak has been reduced substantially but is still there. I will check the well again to see if the leak has sealed off. |
