1326073420 | 2012-01-06 | Production Wells | No Violations | At 11:20 A.M. on Friday, 1-6-12, DNR Inspector Barry Grimm was notified of a stock tank explosion and an associated fire at the Zimmerman # 3 location in Tuscarawas County. Inspector Grimm responded and arrived on the location at 11:40 A.M. According to the pumper at the site, the explosion and fire started at 11:20 A.M. At the time of the explosion, the pumper was working at the well head located 800 away from the stock tanks. He heard the explosion and went to the tank battery to investigate. He saw a man in a silver Jeep driving away from the site. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident. Two 210 barrel stock tanks were involved in the incident. Inspector Grimm will submit a detailed report on Monday, 1-9-12. |
1326113203 | 2012-01-06 | Production Wells | No Violations | On 01/06/2012 at 11:30 AM, I received a call from Artex pumpers Bill Porter and John Stall. They were on the Kochman Stocker well working on the pipeline and wellhead when they heard an explosion at the Zimmerman well, located approximately 800 ft away. They ran toward the explosion and that the stock tank was on fire and that there was an unidentified man standing outside the dike area of the tank that was on fire. They yelled at the man, who then jumped into a silver Jeep Cherokee and left the scene. The two tanks inside the Zimmerman tank battery had been emptied on 01/04/12. There was approximately 4 of oil in the 210 barrel tank that exploded causing the top of this tank to launch and travel approximately 100 yards into a farm field. Five fire departments responded to this tank fire. The fire was extinguished at approximately 3:00 PM. Clean up is ongoing. |
1699663293 | 2013-12-12 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On the day of my inspection I witnessed that the well was in production, production records were up to date, and the well was properly identified. The well was equipped with 4.5 inch casing, 2.375 inch tubing, rods, a pumping unit, a horizontal separator, a sales meter with a .375 inch orifice, a 210bbl tank and domestic gas hookup. The site passed preliminary restoration according to 1509.072A. |
