1407785021 | 2014-08-07 | Orphan | No Violations | Inspected Berea well with Inspector Allie Sherwood at the request of Gene Chini. Previous site visit on 06-24-14 we found the Fite Permit # 61852 but not this well. Both wells are in the Orphan well program and files updated. This well has 6 casing at ground level covered over with a steel plate and well head with 2 tubing and rods. There is a string of 1 thru plate that goes down hole. Depth of 1 unknown. I took 15 additional photos. We talked to Sharon Angus who is the property owner. She had no preference for right of entry. Access would be the best thru her driveway and continue to behind house and angle NE toward the wells. |
1453147683 | 2014-06-24 | Orphan | No Violations | Visited location on 06/24/2014 with Jeff Fry for a status update inspection at the request of Gene Chini. The well consists of a wellhead with 2 tubing, rod, and stuffing box. A tree is growing around part of the wellhead. The well sits on a steel plate, which appears to sit on approximately 5 1/2-6 casing. GPS coordinates and pictures were taken to update the well file. |
1455039037 | 2016-02-08 | Orphan | No Violations | Review well site to see where production line(s) lead to. One inch plastic line starts at well head and travels North East approximately 6 feet before being buried. Line is not hooked up to well but was probably used as the production line. Two steel 100 barrel tanks were found on the neighboring property to the North East. One tank is set vertical and the other is horizontal. It is unknown if tanks were used for the Fite wells. GPS of tanks is N41.10034, W082.02177. Property is Parcel number 004-09B-31-034, consisting of 3.267 acres belonging to Brian Walter & Elsie Gordon. I will try to contact the property owner(s) and get the history of the tanks. Original Orphan well case file shows a pump jack on the Fite #1 well. There is no pump jack on site or nearby. I spoke with the current property owner Mrs. Angus and she told me that the pump jack was removed before they purchased the property. On 02-09-16, I spoke with Ralph Shorts who previously owned the property where the tanks are located. Ralph told me that the tanks had belonged to him and he moved them to that spot. He had sold the property to Elsie Gordon and Brian Walter. Ralph said, He had never seen a tank battery for the Fite wells and the previous landowner before Mrs. Angus had removed all the surface equipment for scrap. |
1509109909 | 2017-10-27 | Final Restoration | No Violations | On location today to check for vegetative growth following plugging procedure. Entire site has adequate vegetative growth. FINAL RESTORATION IS APPROVED. |
