At 6pm I was on site to attempt to collect samples of the possible brine. At the time of my inspection there was not enough fluid on the ground to collect a proper sample. I was able to test a cup size puddle of water on location with a High Range Quantab. The quantab's readings showed levels in excess of 1.031% or 6257 parts per million.

At the time of the inspection the landowners are still insistent that the lease Nieset, Lawrence and Christopher, have on the well is invalid. They do not want Nieset on location at any time. Nieset has agreed to plug the well and clean up the location. The landowners are not sure if they want to plug/produce the well, but were advised to continue to keep a dialogue with Nieset in order to bring this to a resolution. The landowner asked for a call back in a month to check the status but no activity is to take place until the well is properly registered or permitted.

0203789642 2012-06-26 Production Wells No Violations At the time of my inspection I was on site with Kyle Tharp and Tom Benko to take soil samples of an area possibly impacted by the dumping of brine. Kyle Tharp took samples from the water well on location. See Complaint Report # 3818 for details.
0400752531 2012-08-20 Production Wells No Violations At the time of my inspection there was no activity on site and no changes observed to the well or tank. The holding tank is about 3/4 full. A tree was removed by the landowner next to the suspected area of impact and bedrock was observed only a few feet from ground level.
1195096579 2012-07-03 Production Wells No Violations At approximately 12pm a call was received from Renee Watson stating that the well operator was on site and possibly dumping brine from the storage tank on site. At 6pm I was on site to attempt to collect samples of the possible brine. At the time of my inspection there was not enough fluid on the ground to collect a proper sample. I was able to test a cup size puddle of water on location with a High Range Quantab. The quantabs readings showed levels in excess of 1.031% or 6257 parts per million.
1340899197 2012-06-20 Production Wells No Violations Received Complaint #3818. Alleging the dumping of brine and water well is contaminated with oil. Inspect well and location. Water well appears to have increased iron bacteria. Water well driller will clean and chlorinate water well later in week. Burn area starting at base of horizontal tank at drain valve. Irregular area approximately 30 foot by 10 foot. Well has been pumped recently.
1343068429 2012-06-22 Production Wells No Violations Well added to RBDMS on 6/26/2012. On site in response to Complaint # 3818 in which the landowner, Renee Watson, is concerned about possible brine dumping at the wells tank battery. She is also concerned about possible contamination of the water well on the property. The complaint was referred to Tom Benko and Kyle Tharp, see complaint report for details. The well needs put on the operators Bond, identification needs posted and there is also gas venting at the wellhead.

1394198476 2014-02-21 Production Wells No Violations This inspection was done in follow-up to Complaint # 3818. At the time of the inspection the landowners are still insistent that the lease Nieset, Lawrence and Christopher, have on the well is invalid. They do not want Nieset on location at any time. Nieset has agreed to plug the well and clean up the location. The landowners are not sure if they want to plug/produce the well, but were advised to continue to keep a dialogue with Nieset in order to bring this to a resolution. The landowner asked for a call back in a month to check the status but no activity is to take place until the well is properly registered or permitted.
1395938127 2014-03-27 Production Wells No Violations This inspection was done in follow-up to Complaint # 3818. At the time of the inspection the well is not being produced due to a leasing/operating issue between the landowner, Renee Watson, and the operator. I spoke with the landowner who intends to operate the well themselves. They would like the operator to remove all above ground production equipment (pumping unit, tank and production lines) and remove and restore all contaminated soil. The plan for removal of equipment will be worked out between the landowner and the operator as weather allows.
1398949558 2014-03-27 Production Wells No Violations This inspection was done as a follow-up to Complaint #3818. At the time of the inspection the landowner, Renee Watson, and the well owner, Chris Nieset, are working on a plan for transfering the well to another registered operator. The landowner no longer wants Nieset on there property due to a leasing dispute that arose from the dumping of brine on the location in 2012. The well is not currently being produced and will remain shut in until the dispute is resolved and/or the well is properly transferred to another operator.
1976515085 2012-06-27 Production Wells No Violations Inspect well and location. Kyle Tharp collected Groundwater samples for chemical analysis from water well. water well was cleaned and chlorinated 5 days prior. Collect soil samples for chemical analysis from burn area and a background location.
