2548968 | Primary Facility | 2016-12-20 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | I arrived at the site at 13:00. Precision Drilling Rig #548 is at the site currently in the process of drilling the G Howell 2H well at depth of (2,147.17) feet. Cabot submitted a Drilling resumption After Break of 30 days or more notification to the Department on 11/20/16. The notice indicates that Cabot would resume drilling of the G Howell 2H well on 11/21/16 at 12:00 PM. I met with Joel Franks, site company man of Cabot Oil and Gas. Mr. Franks stated the following. "The intermediate casing for the 2H well has been set at 2,045 feet. The surface casing for the 2H well was set at 950 feet. "The 2H well will be drilled to a total depth of 12,800 feet. The 2H well is being drilled with water based mud. The water mixed with the mud is fresh water from a nearby trout hatchery. The Derrick centrifuges are used to separate the drilling mud from the drill cuttings. The mud returns to the mud pits. The drill cuttings are dried with sawdust and sent to Keystone Landfill for disposal. New Park Rig Mats, Felt on t |

2568536 | Primary Facility | 2017-03-04 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Inspection of Cabot’s Howell G pad in Auburn Twp. Susquehanna County conducted Friday March 4th 2017 at 1:00 pm. Keane was rigged up on the pad to frack 4 wells; the 8H, 6H, 4H, 2H. The crew was tied into the 8H at the time of inspection, the first well of four on the pad, about to come on line for the first stage. I met with the Companyman. He said they began to rig up on Tuesday. At that time, they shut in the (9 5/8” x 5 ½”) annulus for digital monitoring during operations. I went in the frack van to take a look at rate and pressures as they come on-line to pump this first stage. Pressures observed before coming online are as follows; (8H) (current well); 235 PSI casing, -4.93 annulus (6H) 0 PSI casing, -22.88 PSI annulus (4H) 19.29 PSI casing, 19.29 PSI annulus and (2H) 28.34 PSI casing, 3.36 PSI annulus. The crew pressure tested @12K, no issues, open wellhead pressure 632 PSI, came online for first stage and took it up to ~4500PSI, no significant increase in pressure on the annulus just a few PSI attrib |

2601842 | Primary Facility | 2017-05-22 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | I arrived at the site at 12:45. The weather conditions were cloudy skies with light to moderate rain falling with temperatures in the lower 60's. I met with Jim Restly, site company man, consultant of Cabot. Mr. Restly stated the following. "Deep Well Services Rig #4 is in the process of squeezing cement on the 6H well. Hydraulic fracturing and frac plug drill outs have been completed on the 2H, 4H, 6H and 8H wells. This particular rig has been here for about a month squeezing the cement, drilling out the cement and running segmented bond logs on the 4H and 6H wells. Currently, only freshwater is being used to squeeze and drill out cement. There are (2) cast iron bridge plugs set in place in the 4H and 6H wells at around (5,800)and (5,900) feet, to hold gas in place while drilling out cement. It has not yet been determined as to when this project will be completed. Once this project is completed, then flowback of the (4) wells should commence." 2725253 | Primary Facility | 2018-05-01 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | I inspected the Howell on May 1, 2018 for a routine complete inspection. The wells associated with this site are as follows: 115-22172, 115-22173, 115-22174, 115-22175. The wells were properly labeled.
The fill slope was stable but repaired with riprap in various locations. It was well vegetated elsewhere. The cut slope was well vegetated. The pad surface and access road were stable and the entrance showed evidence of recent minor repair. There were no erosional issues apparent. There were no violations |
