A review of the site maps which include wetland delineations show no violations of the well location restrictions as spelled out in the Oil and Gas Act. We were unable to conduct a site visit due to the remoteness of the pad site, the presence of a heavy snow pack, and extremely cold conditions. Cabot is not scheduled to start construction of this site until late fall this year. Cabot and the Department will conduct a site visit to confirm that delineations are as described after the snow melts, probably late March. |

The inspection was conducted due to a formal objection having been received by the Department in which the objector believes that the construction of the pad will adversely impact a stream of the Commonwealth. The site visit revealed that the wetland and stream delineations as presented by Cabot in their permit application for this site are in fact accurate. At this time, the Department finds no reason to stop this project from moving forward. |
