Inspection Data

Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Category Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
2254249 Primary Facility 2014-03-14 Preoperation Inspection No Violations Noted pre-op inspection, pad completed w/ seed and stabilization, 3 cellars installed, no vio.
2259755 Primary Facility 2014-04-03 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted
2271993 Primary Facility 2014-05-15 Drilling/Alteration No Violations Noted
2292661 Primary Facility 2014-07-30 Incident- Response to Accident or Event No Violations Noted The operator reported a 50+ barrel release of brine which was discovered as some containment was being removed between the frac and drill-out/flowback stages. Violations cited to the 081-21408 well (4H)
2295166 Primary Facility 2014-08-07 Compliance Evaluation No Violations Noted After arriving onsite we spoke with Zachary Subra and Randi Mathew (Range Resources). Since my last inspection, much of the equipment and containment not needed for flow-back has been removed. The excavation previously open near the wellheads has been backfilled. Some salt staining was noted on areas previously covered by containment. Conductivity on the pad surface south of the wellheads ranged from 1,400-14,450 umhos/cm. The area excavated for the flowlines was rutted and water ponded had conductivity of 4,000 umhos/cm. The sump just off the south side of the pad known as sample point 2 had plastic liner installed in an effort to capture the water from the seeps. The conductivity on the plastic was 4,650 umhos/cm and 5,000 umhos/cm under the plastic. Impacted soils from previous excavations have been stockpiled on containment and covered. Field conductivity in the sump/basin #2 has gone down since my last inspection and no evidence suggests the release has moved off the site. Previous violations remain outstanding, no new violations.
2396569 Primary Facility 2015-08-04 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted
2445212 Primary Facility 2016-01-14 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Routine inspection on wells in production. No violations noted.
2572631 Primary Facility 2017-03-16 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Routine inspection of Range Resources Dog Run HC 4-6H marcellus well pad on March 16, 2017. No one was onsite during my inspection. The pad has 3 producing wells on it; 081-21408, 081-21409, and 081-21360. There are 3 production units onsite and (3) 400 BBL production fluids tanks located in secondary containment. Water with containment is frozen and snow covered. There appears to be no signs of leaks from the containment.

This pad has been partially restored, see attached photos. This pad has not had a notice of termination (NOT) approved to date for it from the Department. All compost sock will need removed before submitting the NOT. The pad itself appears stable and is snow covered.

The weekly E&S log is onsite. According to the log the pad was partially restored in August 2016. PPC plan is onsite, last updated in March of 2016. Range Resources has applied for a 2 year well site restoration extension for the 3 current wells on the pad.

No violations noted during the inspection.

2638646 Primary Facility 2017-09-21 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted Weather was 77° and sunny. There was a 0 to 1500 psi gauge attached to the well reading approximately 280 psi at time of inspection. 5 1/2 x 9 5/8 annulus plumbed to poly tank. Measured poly tank with Altair 5X meter 75% methane 100% LEL at time of inspection. 13 3/8" x 20" anulus vent measured 0% at time of inspection. There was no 9 5/8 x 13 3/8 annulus vent observed at time of inspection.
2802204 Primary Facility 2018-11-13 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On November 13, 2018, Department representative Brad Kline conducted a routine site inspection at Range Resources, LLC. Dog Run HC Unit 4-6 H. Monthly tank maintenance log was onsite for review. No E&S issues were observed during the time of inspection. The site is stable and well vegetated meeting the 70% uniform, perennial, vegetative cover.

There are a total of 3 producing wells located on this well pad. All wells are tagged with API/well permit numbers. Cellars are filled in. There are 3 GPU’s and 3 steel vertical production fluids tanks onsite. Both GPUs and production fluid tanks were stationed in secondary containment.

No violations noted.
