0006719036 | 2018-08-09 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Status check inspection on the well drilling process accompanied by ODNR Inspector Tom Thomas. H&P Drilling rig 531 was on location and has reached the total drilling depth of 29,311 in the 8.5 diameter production well bore section. Upon reaching total depth the directional drilling assembly failed and the drill string became stuck due to the inability to circulate. The drill string was shot off and recovered at a depth of 18,696, the rig went back in with a mill and dressed the top of the drill string off down to 18,702 and is now pulling the drill string out of the hole to remove the mill and run back in the hole with an overshot fishing tool in attempt to grab back ahold of the lost string. If the are successful in grabbing the string they will tractor in a wire line free point tool and attempt to perforate the drill string closer to the bottom to gain circulation and recover the rest of the string. The well bore is static with 13.3 pound per gallon drilling fluid in the hole. The drilling rig and support equipment are situated on polymer containment with the well pad perimeter berm serving as the primary containment. |

0588421896 | 2019-02-27 | Completion Testing | No Violations | Status check inspection found Stingray Pressure pumping Service on location and stimulating 3 of the 5 wells on the pad. The said well has had 52 out of 80 stages completed. Nine Energy wireline is providing the perforating services. The well head completion stack is a FMC. The well head A&B sections have annular pressure monitoring in place and flow lines attached o the B section that are tied into a separate choke manifold. The flow lines are equipped with a 1,500 psi pop off with (2) in line shut off valves between the well head and pop off. Only the well being stimulated has the B section valves open to the check manifold during stimulation of that well. All stimulation equipment is situated on polymer containment and the well pad is equipped with a perimeter earthen berm with the perimeter berm drain valves being in the closed position. |
0958248290 | 2018-08-09 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On this day, I accompanied ODNR Inspector William Stolarik. Please reference his comments for a detailed report. The H&P FlexRig 531 rig is currently tripping out of the hole with an 8.5 inch diameter mill bit. The well had been drilled to a total depth of 29,311 feet. There is 9,407 feet total length of fish in the hole, with the top of the fish at a measured depth of 18,702 feet. We spoke with Company Man, Wade Gray, and he indicated that they will trip back in the hole with an overshot and attempt to retrieve the fish. |
1531148793 | 2018-07-09 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Status check inspection found H&P Drilling rig # 531 on location and skidding over onto the said well. The rig will spud the 17.5 diameter surface borehole on air to a approximate measured depth of 1,638. The target depth is 100 above the Big Injun formation. The rig and support equipment is placed on polymer containment with the well pad perimeter drain valves in the closed position. |
1531242970 | 2018-07-10 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | On this day, I am onsite to witness the 13.375-inch diameter surface casing cement job with Schlumberger. The H&P Flexrig 531 rig drilled a 17.5-inch diameter borehole to a depth of 1,600 feet from a KB of 30 feet. Then, Wyoming Casing inserted 453 feet of 13.375-inch diameter J-55 61.00 lb./ft. casing, and 1,097 feet of 13.375-inch diameter J-55 54.50 lb./ft. casing, for a total of 1,550 feet of casing into the wellbore. A pre-job safety meeting was held. Schlumberger initially pumped 20 barrels of gel spacer, followed by 5 barrels of fresh water. They cemented the casing with 279 barrels total volume of 1,329 sacks of Class A cement with a 1.18 yield, and a weight of 15.6 pounds per gallon, verified by scale. It was displaced with 232 barrels of fresh water. The plug landed with 600 psi and then pressured up to 1,300 psi and held for 5 minutes. 42 barrels of cement returns were brought to surface. |
1534355828 | 2018-08-15 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Status check inspection on the current drilling process found H&P drilling rig 531 on location. The well was drilled to a total depth of 29,311 in the 8.5 diameter production borehole. Upon reaching total depth the directional tool failed and circulation was lost through the tool and the drill string became stuck in the hole. The company then shot the drill string off at 18,696 leaving 9,413 of drill string in the hole. The company has began an open hole side track from above the lost tools and has drilled to the depth of 17,449. The company is pulling the drill string to change out the directional tools used to start the side track. |
1880984233 | 2018-07-18 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On this day, I found the H&P Flexrig 531 rig preparing to start drilling ahead in the 8.75 inch diameter borehole at a depth of 8,748 feet. The most recent survey taken at a depth of 8,534 feet had an inclination of 13.11 degrees and an azimuth of 297.70 degrees. The projected total depth of the well is 30,037 feet. A perimeter walk of the pad was conducted and no issues were found. |
