The operator had dusted the drill cuttings and tophole water downslope in to a vegetated area. Apparently, tophole water saturated with cuttings had made its way into a spring seep causing the seep to run gray. The operator installed sediment traps and filter sock to stop the discharge. By the end of the day the seep was running clear. The violation was corrected. No additional violations were noted.
