Through further investigation, it was determined that this well is in the permitted location described on location plat received by Department in March of 1981. Permit application was approved and the well was assigned permit number 123-29068. Production equipment is absent from well bore. It appears that attempt were made to plug the well at the top of surface casing. Gas and oil are leaking through the materials placed in top of surface casing. There is an odor of gas present in the air near the well location. Operator has been in contact with me regarding the plugging of one or more wells on this lease. This well will be discussed with operator and prioritized. |
